You will attend an initial seminar to discuss research methods and academic writing procedures such as structure, style, presentation, bibliography and use of IT.

Subject matter is chosen in discussion with the module leader, if they interface with another area of particular interest to you. The dissertation is prepared in three stages: proposal, rough draft and final copy. It is approximately 10,000 words in length and contains a full bibliography/discography. Audio methods of illustrating points are acceptable. Progress is monitored and supported by means of regular tutorials with a supervisor.
